Russian Community Centre

The Russian Community Centre is a Croydon (South London) based organisation that aims to promote the Russian language and culture in the UK. The centre supports the development of a bilingual community and welcomes people of any age or race.

Russian Community centre was officially opened in 1999 as the very first community centre for Russian speaking people in the UK.

The Centre has often supports new arrivals to the UK by providing information about education, health and housing. We also started the Russian Supplementary School for Russian Speaking Children, organized events and festivals.

Music school Harmony was opened and run with great sucsses  since 2000.Over hundred students from local community taking part in music workshops  every week.
Our folk band Slavyane well known by local and Greater London  community.
Since September 2010 Lithuanian school  started classes for girls and boys age 3 to 11.

We hope that children and young people from Lithuanian community  will enjoy our facilities.

A.P.Chekhov's Russian Saturday School

Very first in South London area Russian Saturday School was established  as a part of the Russian Community Centre in 1998. Our unique educational and cultural centre for the development of Russian language and culture provides servises to Russian speaking and local community .We are multicultural organisation  that provides educational services for everyone who desires to enrich their life by learning new skills and exploring new cultures.

Music School Harmony

Our Music School was established as a section of the Russian Community Centre in 2000.We are successfully running instrumental lessons for adults and children. In last academic year, our music workshops were attended by more then 100 people from the local community. Many people in our community discover interest in classical music just listening our talented children who played piano, violin,trumpet,flute and oboe amongst other instruments.

Most of our students are taking Grading Exams with the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity Guildhall.
